Implementing the Kids in the Know Program
To support the implementation of the Kids in the Know Program, optional professional development (PD) is available in the following formats:
In-person Workshop
The Kids in the Know Program in-person workshop assists educators with successful implementation of the KIK program, our interactive safety education program for children from kindergarten to high school.
About the Workshop:
The workshop includes the following information and interactive opportunities:
- information on the issue of child sexual abuse including the scope of the problem, grooming, and disclosure
- the goals and foundations of the program
- information about program’s lessons plans and activities
- guidance on introducing the program
- preparatory considerations
- group activities and discussions which include opportunities to explore the lessons and concepts

- 2.5 hours of in-person training

Add-ons available:
- Program staff may be available to offer a parent information session on the Kids in the Know Program or online safety during their on-site visit.
